heeeere wimpy wimpy wimp...
What is with that title? whatever.....
this blog post is supposed to be all about what I am going to do as far as maybe getting an internship in the fashion industry this summer. And that is exactly what it is going to be about. "I WOULD LIKE TO GET AN INTERNSHIP IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY THIS SUMMER" That might be a fact. I think it would be very beneficial to get something sewing for a small boutique or one of the market vendors. I guess anything really. even just volunteering a couple hours a week would be good just to get something on a resume. As much as i like and need money, I might have to sacrifice some free time to the benefit of future Georgia.
I think that title was because I'm nervous to have to use some social skills to even get an internship. (as if anyone needs to know this other than myself)

And now... back to our not so featured presentation of (enter whitty title here)
Hello...and welcome back. Not too much going on here this week. Just totally chill and pleasant, I know exactly what I'm doing and how I'm going to do it. I'm very focused and in control of every thing going on in my life and at school. I'm eating well, taking all the appropriate vitamins and getting lots of zzz's and haven't wasted any money on going out and partying in weeks.
HA...... tune in when I'm telling the truth!

Trolls And Ghasperations
Oh hello there, I see you have found me in my gnarly little internet lair. Well I guess its not that gnarly right now, all i have is silly picture and some words on it but soon enough people!! don't rush me damnit! Alright rush me. I like the pressure.
ANYWAYS, who ever would have thought that this gal ( i wish i knew how to put an arrow pointing up to the picture above), would ever be posting things on a blog. In September I didn't even know what a desk top was on the computer. What a cave man I was. So, the reason for this blog is for my business class in the fashion design program that I'm taking at the Pacific Design Academy in Victoria BC. This week I must talk about my Trolls and Ghasperations so I guess I should stop rambling and get down to it.
About two years ago a thought popped into my head while I was a mountain in Banff Alberta, but thats a story for some other time.
I started this program hoping to gain a creative outlet in my life. I have a wild imagination and I love to create things that didn't exist before. I come from a family of artist and sewers<- hahaha , i meant people who sew. ( i actually just laughed out loud by my self) ........Sorry........ back on track. SO, my whole family is very creative and I like to think that I am as well. Costume design is what I originally had in mind when I made the move from Alberta to Victoria. The idea of designing elaborate, fancy and crazy things for the stage really appealed to me. Once I learned how much fun and amazingly rewarding it is to design and make clothing that people could wear everyday, a whole new world of possibilities assaulted my mind. OH THE THINGS I COULD DO!!
Once I finish school I would love to try and get a job at a place like the Banff Center in their costume department. Well that was the idea I've had for the past 7 months or so and it's an idea thats floating around in my head still but it isn't alone. I would also like to start a cottage industry type business designing both mens and womans clothing. Or maybe...MAYBE I could try for jobs at such places as Lifetime Collective, RVCA or Volcom.
I guess I'm just really excited for E V E R Y T H I N G ! No really I'm like annoyingly excited, my room mate must be going nuts with such a hyper person around all the time.
Well ahhhhh. That concludes my first ever Blog entry. Look at me go David!!! I really like this class so far!
Peace out ninjas.
